On Tuesday afternoon, June 3, a serious accident occurred on the street to the old chapel in Delbrück between a pedelec driver and a Mercedes driver. The 72-year-old driver, who wanted to turn towards Postdamm, overlooked the 65-year-old cyclist who drove towards Lippling on the bike path. The woman fell during the collision and contracted the serious injuries.

The emergency services quickly moved in, the injured cyclist was first treated on site before she was flown to a special clinic in Bielefeld with a rescue helicopter. The exact circumstances of the collision are currently the subject of investigations by the Paderborn police.
