On Saturday at 5:22 p.m., a serious traffic accident in Halle (Westf.) occurred at the Eggeberger Straße and Theenhausener Straße intersection. A 39-year-old driver who was traveling with two passengers in the Mercedes CLA overlooked a 46-year-old motorcyclist who drove in the opposite direction. The collision caused the motorcyclist to be seriously injured and had to be taken to a nearby hospital.

The occupants of the car remained unharmed, while the property damage was estimated at around 15,000 euros. The motorcycle was no longer ready to drive and had to be towed, but the car remained ready to drive. The intersection was completely closed during the accident recording, which led to extensive traffic disruptions. The Gütersloh police are asking possible witnesses to report on 05241-8690.
