Serious accident in Heddinghausen: Woman injured after a collision with truck

On May 30, 2025, there was a dramatic accident in Hemmergrund at 11:10 a.m. when a 34-year-old driver from Düsseldorf disregarded the right of way at the intersection to the L776. In a serious collision, her VW Golf crashed into a tractor-trailer with beer boxes, which was directed by a 61-year-old freight forwarder. The force of the impact was so significant that the driver was seriously injured.

The Rüthen fire brigade had to be roped to free the woman from the heavily deformed vehicle wreck. The rescuers were finally able to transport them to a hospital. The two vehicles resulted in considerable property damage of around 10,000 euros. In addition, clean -up work was added because the accident had a large amount of operating materials on the road, which is why a cleaning team was hired.
