On Wednesday, June 11th, a serious traffic accident occurred in the Hockstein district. Around 3:40 p.m. there was a dramatic collision between a car and a cyclist on Dahlener Strasse. The cyclist suffered so serious injuries that a rescue helicopter had to request medical care.

The police immediately blocked a lane of Dahlener Straße towards Rheydt and sent a specialized accident team from the Neuss police on the scene of the accident to investigate the incident. Details on the course of the accident have so far been unclear. The investigation is ongoing and further information will follow.
