Serious accident in Kleve: Pedelec driver injured in collision!

On Saturday, May 24th, 2025, a serious traffic accident occurred in Kleve around 2:05 p.m. An 84-year-old pedelec driver was seriously injured at the Beeker Straße/Kattegatweg intersection when a 57-year-old Dutchman turned to the right with his Peugeot in 2008 and overlooked him. Despite a warning sign "Pay attention" and a reference to the bicycle traffic, the driver noticed only the traffic on the left when turning.

The pedelec driver came from Elten and was properly on the left bike path when the collision came. The injured cyclist was immediately taken to the hospital, while only minor property damage occurred on the car. The bike remained undamaged.
