Serious accident in Lübeck: BMW driver is in oncoming traffic!

In a dramatic traffic accident in Lübeck St. Gertrud, a BMW driver and a truck were involved in a violent collision on Thursday morning (12.06.2025). At around 7:20 a.m., the 36-year-old got oncoming traffic for unknown reasons and collided head-on with a crane truck. While the driver of the BMW suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries, the 44-year-old truck driver was not injured.

The BMW suffered significant damage to the impact. Emergency doctor and emergency services were quickly on site and brought the injured driver to a hospital for treatment. The rescue team received support from two police patrols and the fire brigade, which were also deployed to cope with the situation. The investigation into the cause of the accident is currently underway.
