Serious accident in Meiningen: truck records pedestrians on Werrastraße

On Thursday morning, there was a serious traffic accident on Werrastraße in Meiningen. A 50-year-old truck driver was on the way towards Untermändfeld when a 46-year-old pedestrian suddenly ran on the road. Despite an immediate braking, the truck driver could no longer prevent a collision.

The pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was immediately taken to the hospital with an ambulance. The property damage is previously unknown, the investigation into the course of the accident is underway.
