On Sunday afternoon, at 11:45 a.m., a serious traffic accident occurred in Salzbergen at the Holsterfeldstraße / Feldstraße intersection. A 77-year-old driver got left onto the Feldstraße when turning left into the way of a 61-year-old motorcyclist coming from the right. The collision was serious: the biker contracted serious injuries and had to be transported to the hospital with a rescue helicopter.

The property damage is estimated at around 6,000 euros. The police have started investigations to clarify the exact circumstances of the accident. Such tragic incidents throw a bright light on the dangers in road traffic.
