Heavy traffic accident in Gehrden: Motorists crashed into tree!

On Sunday, May 25, 2025, there was a serious traffic accident in Gehrden, in which a 33-year-old driver and his passengers were injured. The driver, who is without a permanent residence in Germany, lost control of his vehicle at around 2:00 a.m. on the L401 country road between Ditterke and Leveste and collided with a tree.

The impact was violent: the 31-year-old suffered serious injuries, while his two passengers aged 33 and 28 were more easily injured. The two seriously injured men transported ambulances to the hospital, the 28-year-old was cared for on site. The property damage is estimated at around 5,500 euros. The police are now asking for witnesses to this incident, which was surprising and without obvious cause. There were no significant traffic disruptions during the rescue work.
