Serious traffic accident in Weinheim: 76-year-old fights for his life!

On Monday morning there was a serious traffic accident around 11:00 a.m. in the west tangent area in Weinheim. A 76-year-old driver of an Opel Corsa lost control for reasons that have so far been unexplained and got into oncoming traffic, where he broke up frontally with a VW ID 5 of a 56-year-old. The person who caused the accident suffered serious injuries and was immediately taken to a hospital. The driver of the VW and his 52-year-old passenger were also slightly injured and had to be cared for by a doctor.

The two vehicles were no longer ready to drive after the collision and were towed. The property damage to the Opel amounts to around 800 euros, while the VW costs around 15,000 euros. Police officers from the Mannheim transport service were on site and regulated the efforts, although there were no major traffic disruptions.
