Heavy -suffering control: Police focus on traffic safety in Hildesheim

Tank- und Rastanlage Hildesheimer Börde, 31141 Hildesheim, Deutschland - On June 2, 2025, the Hildesheim police inspection conducted strict controls at the Hildesheimer Börde tank and rest area in the direction of Hanover to put road traffic through its paces. A total of 32 vehicles, including 18 trucks and 11 vans, were checked for their fitness for traffic as well as compliance with social regulations and load securing.

The result was alarming: Serious violations were found in 25 of the controlled vehicles. Three drivers were not allowed to continue their trip. The majority of the abnormalities concerned defective load securing and violations of social regulations. It was particularly shocking that two drivers used the mobile phone while driving - a clear violation of the traffic rules! These controls show once again how important it is to take security seriously on our streets.
