In a regrettable incident on June 11, 2025, a six -year -old boy was slightly injured on his bike. The little cyclist was traveling with his father and crossed Rixener Straße on a pedestrian crossing at 3 p.m. A 56-year-old man from Brilon, who drove his vehicle the Altenbürener Straße in the direction of the city center and wanted to turn left into Rixener Strasse, collided with the boy for unexplained reasons.

The emergency services were called immediately and brought the slightly injured six -year -old to a nearby hospital. The Hochsauerlandkreis police authority is now examining the course of the accident to clarify further details.
