Senior woman cheated by 300,000 euros-police warn of fraudsters!

Gelsenkirchen, Deutschland - An 85-year-old woman from Gelsenkirchen was victim to a perfidious fraud when she was called by a unknown person who announced an alleged Eurojackpot win of 300,000 euros. The caller asked the senior citizen to pay four-digit emergency costs in the form of Apple voucher cards. Under the pretext that this was necessary to receive the profit, he had gift cards buy in supermarkets and transmitted the codes by phone.

It was only later, when she became suspicious, the woman turned to the police. In a further phone call on May 26, the fraudster again tried to lose their money by threatening higher emergency costs, but fortunately this did not lead to any financial damage.
