On Tuesday morning, a tragic traffic accident occurred in the knitting path near the sports hall and outdoor pool. An 80-year-old cyclist drove to a confluence around 11:40 a.m. and overlooked a car authorized to accommodate who came from the right. The violent collision led to serious injuries to the elderly, who died despite immediate resuscitation at the scene of the accident.

The Offenburg police are currently busy reconstructing the course of the accident and is asking witnesses to report on 0781 21-4200. A shock for the community while the investigation is still running.
