Safe way to school: Coesfeld elementary school students distribute thank you notes!

On Wednesday morning (June 11th), the focus was on the security of school children and traffic controls in Coesfeld! Officials from the police transport service together with first graders from the Pestalozzi School were active in order to promote traffic safety on their way to school. As part of the nationwide campaign #security, road users who behaved regularly and carefully received thank you sheets - a loving recognition for exemplary behavior.

But not everyone got away with it! Motorists who struck negatively with too fast were given a memo and were made aware of the dangers that lurk in particular near schools. The campaign ensured amazing reactions among the students, the learned where the dangers in road traffic really lie and how drivers perceive them. An impressive experience that gave the school children and road users a new look at the common responsibility in road traffic!
