Safe roads for children: Police Münster raises the alarm for traffic controls!
Syndikatplatz, 48145 Münster, Deutschland - The Münster police carried out a large -scale control as part of the cross -border traffic safety campaign "Safe.Mobil.leben" on June 3 to increase the safety of children in road traffic. At 18 locations in the Münster urban area, especially near schools, the officials checked over 2,000 road users between 6:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
The result was alarming: a total of 318 violations were found. Among them were 129 speed overruns, 28 distractions from smartphones and 20 misconduct when turning. Even nine people were not strapped, and there were 113 other violations, such as driving without a license. The minor cyclists also paid special attention, for which 19 people were warned orally because they drove on the sidewalk. The campaign illustrated urgency to strengthen traffic safety for children and increase adult attention.
