Safe roads for our little ones: Police support cycling in Oberhausen!

Oberhausen, Deutschland - The Oberhausen police carried out the nationwide traffic safety campaign "Safe.Mobil.leben" on June 3, 2025 under the motto "Children in view". The aim of this initiative is to prepare children at an early stage for the challenges in road traffic because they are particularly vulnerable road users.

As part of the campaign, the officers checked the bicycles of the participating children for traffic safety. Only the cycling vehicles that passed the security check and received a test sticker could be used. 16 committed parents helped as observation posts along the route, while the children, equipped with bicycle helmets and warning vests, mastered the route independently. The police appeal to all road users to drive particularly carefully and considerably when children are on the go.
