Safety in road traffic: Minister Reul in the service for children!

In an impressive commitment to traffic safety, the North Rhine-Westphalian Interior Minister Herbert Reul visited the primary school on Lerchenweg in Monheim on Tuesday, June 3, 2025. As part of the "Safe. Mobile. Life - Children in Blick" campaign, he found out about various measures that aim to protect children as the weakest road users.

In the entire country of North Rhine -Westphalia, traffic controls and speed monitoring are carried out near schools to sensitize parents and children to safe behavior in road traffic. While parents are informed about topics such as the “parent taxi” and speed limits, the traffic police officers support the children with age -appropriate information. The aim is to create a safe environment for the little ones in road traffic.
