Security campaign in Offenbach: Police checked frenzied drivers!

As part of the cross -border traffic safety campaign "Safe.Mobil.leben - Children in Blick", police officers carried out targeted checks in Offenbach and Hanau. On Tuesday morning, the safety of school children was specifically targeted in the Kastanienallee in Hanau. Between 7.45 a.m. and 12.45 p.m., the officers checked more than 600 vehicles. The result was alarming: 22 drivers crossed the permissible maximum speed of 30 km/h, five people were not properly buckled up, and two drivers used their cell phone while driving. In addition, a helmet violation was registered.

In a further incident, vehicle thieves became active in Heusenstamm. On Monday evening, around 7 p.m., a black Toyota disappeared, which was parked at "Am Lindenbaum". The injured party discovered theft on Tuesday morning. The Offenbach criminal police are now looking for witnesses and asks for clues that can be reported on the hotline 069 8098-1234.
