A shocking incident occurred on Monday evening, June 2nd, 2025, when a child was victim to a bicycle theft on his bike in Oldenburg. The boy reported the incident at 7:45 p.m. after an unknown person who was traveling on an e-scooter had stolen his sports bag from his bike basket. The perpetrator was described as a male, about 14 years old, between 160-170 cm tall and slim, with short, fluffy blond hair, dressed in dark blue baggyjeans and a black hoodie.

good news followed around 8:23 p.m. when the child's mother reported that the stolen sports bag and content were found on August-Hinrichs-Straße in Zetel-right behind a petrol station. An employee nearby had discovered and alerted the bag. During a first review, it turned out that nothing was missing from the pocket, which was a relief for the child.
