Strong alliance: Police and victim aid in the Heidekreis united against violence

The Heidekreis police inspection has made a pioneering agreement to support crime victims in a significant cooperation with the victim aid Foundation and the Weissen Ring e.V. At a meeting, the initiators presented the goals of this cooperation: improved care and quick help for those affected by crimes.

The partnership is intended to ensure that the various organizations work optimally to provide comprehensive support offers. While the employees of the Weissen Ring are mostly volunteers, the victim aid Foundation offers professional specialist consultations that specialize in psychosocial support. In the future, those affected will not only be informed about the course of criminal proceedings, but also receive support in the event of compensation claims and mediation to therapists.

A new police service stipulates that victims are offered immediate help in the event of domestic violence. With the so -called victim protection leaflet, those affected are immediately referred to advice offers. The police also grant the organizations access to premises in their departments, which offers the victims a protected and trusting environment for advice.
