Severe storm devastates Mannheim: 50 missions by the police!

A violent storm devastated Mannheim on Saturday evening and led to around 50 police missions between 5:15 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Numerous trees fell over, streets were flooded, and mobile traffic signs and construction fences were thrown around by the storm. Fortunately, there were no injuries while the property damage cannot yet be quantified.

A particularly dramatic incident occurred on the L600 when a 29-year-old truck driver came off the road at around 6:00 p.m. due to the adverse weather conditions. His vehicle crashed into a tree, while the trailer stopped across the street. The property damage is estimated at around 35,000 euros, but the driver was unharmed. At around 11:30 p.m., the traffic routing was resumed after the necessary cleaning of the road.
