On Saturday, May 31, 2025, there was a dangerous incident on the route between Bruchsal and Karlsruhe-Durlach around 5:15 p.m. Unknown perpetrators threw the S3 with at least one stone, about 500 meters in front of the Durlach-Hubstrasse stop. The driver noticed a stone on the tracks early on and initiated a quick braking, which prevented worse.

After arriving at Karlsruhe-Durlach station, the driver found a damaged disc on the train and immediately informed the federal police. Fortunately, no one was injured in this incident.
