Suspect after gunshot wound in Göppingen arrested!

Göppingen, Deutschland - On May 17, 2025, a 24-year-old German in Göppingen was seriously injured by a shot and had to be operated on. The incident occurred when two unknown perpetrators fled. The injured man is now on the way of improvement.

The investigation has been in full swing since then after the Pappel special Commission was convened in the Ulm police headquarters. Witnesses were interviewed and trace fuses were carried out. On May 27, the police were able to arrest a 34-year-old Iraqi suspect in his place of residence in the Göppingen district. On May 28, a judge issued an arrest warrant for attempted manslaughter and dangerous bodily harm. The accused has been in custody since then and has made use of his right to refuse to testify.
