Telephone fraudsters on the march: Caution, Nordhausen! Protect your money!

Nordhausen, Deutschland - On Wednesday, scrupelless telephone fraudsters in the Nordhausen district and in the Unstrut-Hainich district caused excitement. Shocking calls made the round: the fraudsters gave themselves out as police officers and warned the citizens of an alleged burglar gang that was supposed to work in the neighborhood. With a brazen stitch, they claimed that on a note found, the houses of the called were the next slump. They immediately inquired about cash and valuables of those affected.

Fortunately, most of the citizens called reacted correctly and ended the conversations without responding to the perfidious demands. They informed the police to file a complaint. An urgent call from the police warns: never go into such money claims! End the phone call and report suspicious calls immediately. The police will never pick up money or valuables. If you have any questions, your local police station is available around the clock.
