Tradition meets sport: 21st Agency relay marathon inspires Braunschweig!

Braunschweig, Deutschland - on time at 3:30 p.m., police vice president Uwe Lange gave the starting signal for the 21st agency relay marathon in Braunschweig. With 88 teams and over 3,696 km overall, the event was a complete success. For a long time, the increasing number of registrations and the impressive performance of the participants praised. This year the winning team received the new challenge cup sponsored by the Braunschweig police department after the trophy went to the running team of the Federal Police Department Duderstadt three times in a row last year.

The teams, creatively named like "Schall und Rauch" and "Tax on Speed", shone at this traditional event. With a time of 18:37 minutes, Steffen Brinker from the Brinkschweig police department achieved the best result for men, while Dorit Wellmann from AWO Niedersachsen gGmbH became the fastest runner with 23:23 minutes. SV Schwarzer Berg ensured a delicious meal and a great atmosphere, and you can already look forward to the 22nd edition of the marathon next year!
