Tragic accident in Wiefelstede: cyclists die after collision

In a tragic traffic accident in Wiefelstede, there were serious injuries on Wednesday, which ultimately led to the death of a 77-year-old cyclist. At around 4:20 p.m., the Oldenburg team, together with a friend, wanted to cross the Heidkamper Landstraße on the confluence "High Kamp" when he overlooked a motorcycle that was driven by a 16-year-old Wiefelsteder. Both road users plunged in the collision.

The cyclist suffered serious injuries and was immediately taken to the Evangelical Hospital Oldenburg. Unfortunately, he died of his injuries during the night, while the motorcyclist was brought to the Oldenburg Clinic with mild injuries.
