Tragic apartment fire in weather: fire brigade saves too late!

In the early morning, a devastating fire broke out in a residential and commercial building in Königstrasse in Wetter (Ruhr). Alarmed at 6:28 a.m., the firefighters discovered flames from an apartment on the second floor when they arrived. Tragic reality: a person was still in the apartment. The alarm level was immediately increased to "fire, multiple human rescue" and additional rescue units and vehicles were ordered to the site.

Unfortunately, every help came too late. Despite the rapid attempts to rescue the emergency services, the person was only recovered lifeless. While the flames were deleted, a team checked the Situation in the roof area, where there was also smoke development - but fortunately no further foci were found. The other house residents remained unharmed, but had to be looked after psychologically. During the mission, an incident occurred when a driver ignored the barriers and almost ran over a firefighter. The city of Wetter announced that it would take legal action against the driver. The cause of the fire has now started.
