Tractor accident in Pomerania: driver slightly injured, railway line blocked!
Pommern, Deutschland - On Tuesday evening around 6 p.m., a spectacular accident occurred on the outskirts of the Moselle community of Pomerania. A 59-year-old driver, who ranked with a vineyard tractor, came too close to a slope edge, which led to his vehicle overturning! The tractor landed in the track bed of the Koblenz-Trier railway line, just a few meters from the rails.
Fortunately, the driver with minor injuries remained relatively intact. The rescue of the tractor was coordinated by Deutsche Bahn, whereby special precautions had to be taken on the basis of the overhead lines. Fire brigade, emergency services and officers from the Cochem and the Federal Police Koblenz police were deployed. During the rescue work, the railway line remained closed for around three hours.
