Trick fraud on Schillerplatz: 82-year-old loses money-witnesses wanted!

Schillerplatz, 67105 Schifferstadt, Deutschland - On Friday, June 6, 2025, a brazen trick theft occurred on Schillerplatz. An 82-year-old man from Schifferstadt was addressed by a stranger who asked for a change of money. During an apparently harmless conversation, the perpetrator grabbed the wallet of the older gentleman unnoticed and stole a larger sum of cash.

The perpetrator sought is described as about 170 cm tall, with short black hair and a Southeast European appearance. He spoke broken German and was dressed in dark clothes. The Schifferstadt police inspection asks for information on 06235-495-0 or by email to pischiffratstadt@polizei.rlp.de.
