Raid on 27-year-olds in Mainz: perpetrator escapes with 10 euros

Illstraße, 55116 Mainz, Deutschland - On Thursday evening, a 27-year-old Mainz was the victim of a brutal robbery in Illstrasse. The young man was on foot when an unknown attacker attacked him from behind with a punch against the temple and hurled to the ground. The perpetrator did not give up and gave the victim several blows in the face while trying to tear his cell phone out of his pocket. Fortunately, passers -by stepped in, which caused the attacker to flee. He escaped from his victim's pocket with just 10 euros.

The slightly injured man could give a description of the robber: about 175-180 cm tall, in early 20, strong stature with long black hair bound to a braid and a three-day beard. The perpetrator was dressed in a gray knitting sweater, gray jogging pants, black reebok shoes and black wool gloves. He also wore a black belly bag and a striking silver chain.
