Traffic accidents in Middle Hesse: Increase in e-scooter accidents alarming

That is 381 more than in the previous year, which corresponds to an increase of less than two percent. It should be noted positively that the number of traffic accident deaths is declining. However, the increase in e-scooter accidents that have increased by almost 80 % is particularly alarming. The main focus of the accidents is on the causes, right of way and speed that play a central role in injured people.

To investigate young road users, an event took place in the commercial schools of the Lahn-Dill district as part of the “Crash Course” prevention program. Lessons from the "rescue chain" reported on their experiences in tragic traffic accidents here. Police President Torsten Krückemeier expressed that the program aimed to sensitize young drivers to the risks of road traffic and to show them the serious consequences of careless behavior.
