Traffic controls in Kelsterbach: Raseräue and drug drivers stopped!
On Tuesday evening (May 27th), the police carried out comprehensive traffic controls in Kelsterbach as part of the "weaker road users" campaign. From 8 p.m., the officers on Frankfurter Straße measured the speed and discovered five speeders, which had massively exceeded the speed limit of 30 km/h, with a peak value of 57 km/h! Two other road users had to dig deep into their pockets due to the lack of seat belts.
But that was not all: a 37-year-old driver was stopped because his vehicle was no longer covered by valid liability insurance. The police secured his licensees and started criminal proceedings. It became particularly difficult for a 35-year-old who was caught under the influence of drugs on an e-scooter. An alcohol test revealed 0.85 per thousand, and the man also confessed to the consumption of marijuana. The e-scooter was confiscated to prevent drunk driving. The controls show once again: traffic safety has a top priority!
