Road safety week in Hildesheim: Police draws strict record!
As part of the traffic safety week in Hildesheim, which took place from May 20 to 26, 2025, the police carried out comprehensive controls. A total of 226 vehicles were checked and a large number of traffic violations were registered. 92 speed overruns were found with hand laser measuring devices. In addition, two speed camera trailers of the Hildesheim district covered another 293 violations that ignored the speed limit.
In addition to the speed violations, other rule violations were also found: 15 belt violations, four red light violations, three violations of load securing and eight cell phone uses at the wheel. In order to further increase traffic safety, the Hildesheim police are planning additional checks in the future.
