Traffic accident on the L 793: five injuries, fire brigade in action!

In the early morning of Thursday, June 5, 2025, a dramatic traffic accident occurred on the L 793 between Ennigerloh-Westkirchen and Ostenfelde. A 56-year-old driver from Nordhorn lost control of his van when he drove to the eastenfelde. Suddenly the Bulli came off the road and crashed into a tree!

The consequences were devastating: five men aged 21 to 32 were injured, with one of them seriously injured and the other four were slightly injured. While four inmates were able to leave the vehicle independently, the fire brigade had to free a person from the rubble. All injuries were immediately taken to surrounding hospitals. The horrendous property damage is estimated at around 32,000 euros, and the L 793 remained closed until 6:10 a.m., while the rescue and clean-up work took place. The police are still investigating the exact cause of the accident.
