In the early morning hours of May 30th there was a spectacular traffic accident in Hassenröther Straße in Hummetroth. A truck, loaded with solid stem wood, damaged a house facade when driving through. The property damage is estimated at around 1,000 euros.

According to initial investigations, the driver of the truck could have rammed the facade with his load when passing the street towards Hassenroth and then removed from the scene of the accident. Now the authorities are looking for witnesses, especially a bus driver who drove behind the wooden transporter and may be able to provide valuable information. Anyone who can contribute something to clarify the incident is asked to contact the Höchst police station on 06163/9410.
