Traffic accident escape in Mayen: Witnesses wanted!

On Friday, May 23, 2025, a shocking traffic accident occurred on the L98 between Mayen-Hausen and Welling at 12:45 p.m. A previously unknown vehicle broke out of the lane in a dangerous right -hand bend and got into oncoming traffic. An unsuspecting driver who came towards had to avoid and brutally crashed into the right guardrail.

The fleeting vehicle left the scene of the accident behind and is currently unknown. The Mayen police are now urgently looking for witnesses. Anyone who can provide information is asked to report on 02651/8010. Any support could help to hold the responsible driver for accounting!
