Violations in the Rötenbacher Forest: Police reveals illegal transports

On Wednesday, June 4, 2025, the officers of the Titisee-Neustadt police station carried out a large-scale search check in the parking lot of the tank and rest area on the B31. Between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. they checked vehicles that were traveling from Freiburg towards Donaueschingen. Numerous violations were revealed during this inspection, including disregarding steering and rest periods.

The find was particularly explosive in a van of a 54-year-old driver: a bike registered as stolen was discovered. But that wasn't all! The van was illegally loaded with a 1500 -liter oil tank, the transport of which is prohibited according to hazard law. In addition, the driver had a ton of solar panels in the vehicle. Such negligent transport sins are a serious danger and indicate unauthorized practices.
