Caution! Fraudsters on the phone: 80-year-old escapes big money traps

Niederkirchen, Deutschland - An 80-year-old from Niederkirchen was victim of a sophisticated attempt to fraud by a wrong bank employee. On Sunday afternoon, May 26th, she received a call that made her access her computer to a supposed bank employee. With cleverly designed conversation and detailed information about her personal situation, the fraudster managed to gain the confidence of the elderly woman.

In a shocking moment, the caller initiated a transfer of a proud 32,000 euros via online banking. But luck in misfortune: the transfer of money could be stopped in good time so that the woman did not cause financial damage. The police from Neustadt/Weinstraße urgently warns of those who act with skill and charm and often cause devastating damage. A clear message: Caution is better than forbearance!
