On Friday evening, May 23, the police and municipal security service carried out a comprehensive weapons and knife control at Lübeck Central Station. Around 80 people were checked between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., especially travelers who were on the way to the Campus Festival.

Several persons received advertisements for violations of the weapons ban in public transport. The measure was largely received by the public and the controlled people. The police announced that it will continue to carry out such controls in order to ensure security.
