Lemons for racers: Students rely on Tempo 30 campaign in Kevelaer!
On Wednesday, June 11, 2025, a colorful action by the police took place in Kevelaer! As part of the nationwide “thanks and memoir campaign”, car and motorcyclists were checked in the Tempo 30 zone on Biegstrasse. Pupils from the St. Antonius elementary school presented homemade thanks and memorial. Motorists who adhered to the speed limit received praise, while Tempover cutters were confronted with a yellow lemon - an expression of their annoyance about frenzied drivers!
The campaign, led by Stefan Cohnen from the traffic accident prevention of the Kleve district of Kleve, arrived excellently among the road users. While some drivers were given a memo, the children proudly carried their message into public. The committed pupils would have liked to participate longer, but the physical education was already waiting! An impressive example of how children and police provide security together on the streets!
