Saarbrücken, Deutschland - The Saarbrücker customs uncovered a smuggling case on Autobahn 6 on Tuesday. Astonishing 8,424 ml e-cigarette substitut and 2,259 cans snus were discovered in a small van that was traveling from Mannheim to Saarbrücken. The 54-year-old driver claimed to transport household goods to the surprise of the customs officials!

After the check, criminal proceedings were initiated against the driver for suspected tobacco tax evasion. A tobacco tax of around 2,190 euros was set. The illegal tobacco products have been ensured and are now part of a further investigation. The customs authority once again shows its determination to combat smuggling and tax fraud!
