Farewell to David Wagner: A reporter looks back on 11 eventful years
In his last column,David Wagner has looked back for eleven years as the editor of the Rosenstein editorial team. He introduced himself as "the new" over eleven years ago and reported on the communities around the Rosenstein. that Wagner accompanied numerous developments in the region. These include the construction of the Mögglingen bypass and the Böbinger B-29 tunnel as well as the spectacular assembly of the Rosenstall on Rosenstein by climbers. Also exciting insights into the kitchens of star chefs, filming the SWR and the establishment of citizens' initiatives, such as the BI "Habitat Albuch", also fell into its reporting.
Wagner, who will accept a new professional challenge from July, would like to thank the people and events that accompanied him during his time. In his words there is also the desire that the readers of the Gmünder daily mail and Swabian mail will remain loyal to his voice. For contact inquiries he provides his email davwagner@gmx.de.
Citizens' initiative is committed to nature conservation
parallel to Wagner's farewell and the municipal reports, the “Albuch habitat” life initiative in Bartholomä causes a sensation. The initiative that members like Dr. Karin Schwarz and Dr. Karen Deuller and other committed citizens were founded, Gmünder daily post reports , has set itself the goal of protecting the home from the massive expansion of wind turbines. In particular, the members have criticized that existing wind turbines in the region are not sufficiently taken into account, while new high -level systems are planned that can become up to 286 meters high.
The citizens' initiative fears negative effects on the environment, especially on bird train and local wildlife. Dr. Debler said concern that forests could be converted into industrial areas, while other members denounce the insufficient information of citizens via wind power projects. An information event in the TSV Hall in Bartholomä is planned for January 31st to bundle the concerns of citizens and to promote support for a petition.
appeals against wind power projects
These developments take place in the larger context of a wave of civil protest. According to a report by Tagesschau 440,000, the Neckar-Alb region. The “headwind Neckar-Alb” citizens' initiative, which has submitted 280,000 of these statements to the regional association, is particularly striking. The regional association has the responsibility for the designation of priority areas for wind power and must determine corresponding areas by September 2025.
The Neckar-Alb region lists the highest number of objections, which is due to the relatively small number of existing wind turbines. Wind power advocates, on the other hand, criticize these initiatives as braking for the necessary energy transition. It is also required to digitize the opposition procedures in order to achieve more efficient handling. The Federal Government has initiated the first steps to make the procedure more modern.
