Terrible accident: 21-year-old after collision with tree seriously injured

On Sunday morning, a serious traffic accident occurred on the district road between Beuron and Bärenthal. Shortly after 4 a.m., the 24-year-old driver of a BMW lost control of her vehicle that came off the street, overturned and landed in the ditch. While the driver and a passenger remained unharmed and could free himself out of the car, a 21-year-old passenger remained trapped in the back seat. Firefighters had to intervene with heavy equipment to save the seriously injured.

A rescue helicopter transported the injured young woman to a hospital for inpatient treatment. The BMW suffered economic damage in the accident. The police have started the investigation to clarify the exact circumstances of the accident.
