A short time after 8 p.m. after 8 p.m. in a new apartment building on Uferstrasse broke out. Witnesses reported densely smoke development, which quickly called the police and the fire brigade on the scene. The fire, which had been created in the basement due to an unknown cause, led to the immediate evacuation of around 40 residents. The fire could be deleted at 8:45 p.m. and the extinguishing work was completed at around 11 p.m. While some residents quickly returned to their apartments, two apartments remained uninhabitable due to heavy smoke development. These residents were temporarily accommodated in a nearby gym.

The Biberach fire brigade was deployed with 60 emergency services, supported by 31 rescue workers and a rescue helicopter. There were no critical values, but the property damage in the lower six -figure area is estimated. The investigation into the cause of the fire, whether due to a technical defect or intentional arson, has already started. Fortunately, nobody was injured.
