Chairman Bernd Lieser commented on the situation of the clubhouse and the financial situation of the association. The declining income makes it difficult for the ski club to cover the running costs and carry out the necessary renovations. Creative measures to increase the income are therefore particularly important.

The clubhouse and its amenities

The clubhouse is not only a retreat for members, but also offers a wide range of uses. It has been restored by volunteering since January 2012 and serves as a self -catering house. It is particularly close to the pale lifts and enables a direct connection to the Feldberglifts Grafenmatt and Zeller slope. In addition, a FIS descendant route ends only a few hundred meters away. Skiclub Frankenthal emphasizes that the area offers an extensive hiking paradise in summer.

Various options are available in the clubhouse for overnight stays: two single rooms, a room with a sofa bed, six double rooms, two three -bed rooms, a six room and a mattress warehouse for seven people. The equipment includes showers and toilets as well as a spacious lounge with a tiled stove and a vaulted cellar for celebrations.

financing and support for sports clubs

According to VIBSS , sports clubs are promoted to improve the framework conditions for popular sports. This affects not only the infrastructure, but also the development of athletes, participation in competitions and general sporting support.

The challenge now is how the Ski Club Frankenthal can raise the necessary financial resources in order to make both the clubhouse and the training opportunities more attractive. Innovative ideas and close cooperation with the community could help increase the income and to secure the future of the association.

The annual general meeting, in which Gisela Wind also plays a role, will be an important forum to discuss the future steps and strategies.
