Great fire in Eglosheim: Fire brigade is fighting all evening!

On Saturday afternoon, around 4:50 p.m., a fire broke out in an empty building on Hirschbergstrasse in the Eglosheim district. The fire brigade was initially unable to control the fire in the roof structure of the former dorm, which is why an excavator of a construction company was used to remove the roof structure and the first floor. At the same time, gas lines were switched off by Stadtwerke Ludwigsburg to avoid further dangers.

The fire service and other rescue workers took up until 11:15 p.m. when the fire could finally be deleted. A fireman suffered minor injuries during the extinguishing work and was taken to the hospital for treatment. The property damage is estimated at around 300,000 euros. Hirschbergstrasse is completely closed during the measures, and the blocking is expected to exist on Whit Monday. The police have started the cause of the fire.
