Escape after accident on the A5: Witnesses urgently wanted!
On Wednesday afternoon there was a dramatic traffic accident on the A5 between Appenweier and Achern! Around 2:40 p.m., an unknown driver of a blue Opel Zafira, approved in Wiesbaden, moved abruptly from the right to the middle lane and braked it down. The driver of a subsequent Mercedes Vito had to avoid, crashing against a barrier wall of a construction site. The fleeting Opel driver did not take care of the damage caused and continued his journey.
Fortunately, there were no injuries in this incident, but the Mercedes Vito was no longer ready to drive after the impact and had to be towed. The property damage incurred amounts to a whopping 27,000 euros!
