Drama in Bad Säckingen: Fire brigade fights against unchecked hail!

A serious hailstick cared for chaos in Bad Säckingen on June 2, 2025! In the evening, huge storm cells pulled across the city and had the sky shaken with violent hailstorm. The Bad Säckingen fire brigade had to be used with all departments and was in constant use for several hours, supported by the Technical Relief Agency (THW).

The emergency services fought until shortly before midnight to cope with the massive consequences of the storm. Major cars were full basement and other water damage due to the penetrating rainwater made of damaged roofs. In addition, a fire alarm system triggered additional alarm readiness during the chaotic weather conditions. A fire brigade spokesman emphasizes: "The massive hailstick caused considerable damage within a short time. Thanks to the cooperation of all emergency services, we were able to quickly control the situation!"
