Serious storms threaten: Hail and hurricane gusts are expected from Wednesday!

Beuerberg, Deutschland - On Wednesday, June 4, 2025, severe storms are to be expected in Upper Bavaria and Lower Bavaria. According to the German Weather Service (DWD), meteorologists warn of hurricane gusts and hail. The strongest thunderstorms are said to appear in the afternoon and evening, the warning period is scheduled from 2 p.m. to midnight. A storm type is expected, the hail with a diameter of over 8 cm and gusts of wind could bring up to 100 km/h. A storm with rain quantities of 25 to 40 liters per square meter in a short time is also possible. The thunderstorms are expected to remove east in the first half of the night.

The districts of Mühldorf, Dingolfing-Landau, Rosenheim, Deggendorf, Kelheim, Regen, Traunstein, City and District of Landshut, district of Landshut, district of Freyung-Grafenau, district of Berchtesgadener Land as well as the city of Straubing-Bogen and district of Altötting are particularly affected.
